Rutland TS.11205 gains Certifire approval for push-side application.
Some door closers should be fitted to a particular side of the door, either push or pull side, depending on how they were fire-tested.
Third-party certification for multiple fitting applications is a significant benefit to installers, specifiers, and principle designers; giving them confidence that regardless of which side they are fitted, they will perform satisfactorily.
We are delighted to announce that we have recently gained Certifire approval on the
TS.11205 Door Closer, for the
push side of the door, in addition to the existing approval for
pull side application. This is a result of additional testing being carried out at UKAS laboratories to allow for this scope.
Renowned for its high efficiency, and low opening forces, the
TS.11205 cam action door closer makes opening doors easier assisting the less able while delivering enough power to close doors up to 1250mm wide and 110kg. This is due to it's smooth and lightweight cam and roller mechanism, which having been tested, has proven to assist
BS8300 requirements.
What are the benefits of having Certifire approval?
Put in the words of Warringtonfire, "Certifire helps give the regulator, specifier, customer and end-user confidence with regards to the stated performance of the product, providing an informed choice when purchasing or selecting the product."
Accreditation schemes such as Certifire are designed to go above the legal minimums, raising the bar on manufacturers through ongoing surveillance, factory visits, random sample testing, and audits. Being independent of both the product manufacturer and the testing laboratory, they add a layer of scuntenty.
For any projects where you are assisting
BS8300 requirements, please make use of this certification scope.
