Ideal for:
Our training sessions ensure door controls are correctly installed, maintained, and adjusted for safety – protecting lives in the event of fire while ensuring smooth everyday use through practical, tailored learning.
Door controls must be installed and maintained correctly to ensure seamless everyday operation while preserving life safety in the event of a fire. Nowhere is this more important than in busy healthcare environments.
Rutland’s training sessions ensure that the right hardware is used in every location, is installed correctly, and adjusted for optimum operation. Our fire and security hardware training offers an interactive and practical training experience, tailored to address the specific knowledge needs of your team.
Contractors: new installers, those looking to refresh their knowledge or anyone wanting an in-depth understanding of door controls
Hospitals and clinics: General Managers, Estates Managers, Fire Safety Advisors, and staff having to inspect and/or maintain door controls
All training contains a one-hour theory section, with the option of practical hands-on instruction, which typically takes a further two hours.
Theory alone can be delivered online or in-person, but addition of the practical element obviously requires in-person delivery. In-person training can take place either at a location of your choice (training charges may apply, please ask your advisor when booking), or in the training suite at our Derbyshire headquarters.
1hr Theory (online or in-person)
2hr Practical instruction (optional)
Training is in-depth but down-to-earth, addressing key pain points and leaving your team better equipped to handle door closing issues.
Your session will be tailored to meet your exact needs but can include the following:
Selecting the best door hardware for any situation
Installing a door closer correctly*
Maintenance and adjustment
Troubleshooting common issues
*Can include scissor, slide arm and electro-magnetic closers
Attendees emerge with a strong grasp of the technicalities of operation for successful door controls, and regularly report improved installation efficiency, enhanced tenant satisfaction, and a reduction in complaints after attending our courses.
Together, we can create safer buildings. We look forward to working with you.
