Live Fire Test Experience 2025

In July, we hosted the Rutland Live Fire Test Experience 2025 at Warringtonfire Birchwood.

We were joined by councils, housing associations and contractors to experience first-hand a real fire test. It was a truly sensory experience — fire is relentless, which is why fire doors, and their hardware must be rigorously tested for compliance.

We demonstrated the shocking difference when comparing side by side a compliant and non-compliant doorset. It was a demonstration that door hardware’s compliance and performance rely equally on correct specification and conscientious installation.

Fire is relentless — Attendees felt the intense heat, smelled the smoke, and saw the shocking result that 30 minutes of continuous flames and takes on one side of a fire door.
