Videos

In this short video, we explain the differences between ‘hold open’ and ‘swing free’ modes, when used with electromagnetic door closers such as the Responder24.

‘Hold open’ and ‘swing free’ explained: Electromagnetic door closers

Hold-open mode
This setting holds the door open electromagnetically for the passage of people, luggage, or hospital beds. In the event of an emergency, the door closes automatically with the activation of the fire alarm system.

Swing-free mode
This setting allows the door to open and close freely without any additional closing resistance. In the event of an emergency, the door closes automatically with the activation of the fire alarm system.
