The Rutland range Mortice electro-magnetic locks are mounted in a frame with the armature plate in or on the door and are generally factory fitted to ensure alignment between the magnet and armature plate to give the maximum holding force. The advantage of mortice electro-magnetic locks as that they are concealed in the frame when the door is closed.

A slimline and standard mortice EM Lock are available both monitored with a selectable 12 / 24V DC voltage on site.

The electro-magnetic locks have a kick off pin in the armature plate to overcome any residual magnetism when power to the magnet is turned off.
